Plaster of Paris 1kg

Cast, mould and sculpt with our Plaster of Paris 1kg. Inside the packet is fine, white plaster powder that sets to a strong, smooth finish. Plus, it doesn't shrink or crack, making it ideal for casting moulds. Thanks to it's quick-setting nature, It's ideal for school projects as well as hobbyists and artists.

Instructions:

  • Pour water into a container, sift small amounts of Plaster of Paris onto it 
  • Mix gently with a spatula until all lumps are gone
  • Tap the sides to release air bubbles
  • The plaster is ready to pour into a mould when the mixture has a smooth, even consistency and a light grey colour

Handy hints:

  • For mixing, use approx. 1 part water to 2 parts plaster, however this will vary with temperature of water used and prevailing weather conditions
  • Never use bare hands to mix or stir plaster, wear gloves
  • Mont Marte Plaster of Paris is ideal for school projects, hobbyists or artists.

TIPS:

  • For mixing, we suggest approximately 1 part water to 2 parts plaster, however, this will vary with the temperature of water used and prevailing weather conditions.
    Never use bare hands to mix or stir plaster.
  • Water should always be added to the mixing tray first then sprinkle or sift plaster into the water in small quantities and gently mix with a spatula. 
  • Tap sides to vibrate and release air bubbles. When the mixture is a smooth, even consistency and a uniform light grey colour it is ready to pour into mould.
